Ages 13 and Older | Advanced Two-Person Racing
Our Flying Junior (FJ) program is designed for advanced sailors ages 13 and older who are ready to master two person boat handling in more sophisticated multi-sail boats. Sailors transitioning to Flying Junior boats learn teamwork, competitive racing tactics, jib handling, and advanced boat skills.
Prerequisites: Sailors should have solid single-handed sailing experience and be comfortable in Optimist or similar boats. FJ camps focus on crew coordination, race tactics, boat speed optimization, and regatta preparation.
Session Times: Our 6 hour daily camps start at 9:00 and 11:00 AM Monday through Friday.
What to Bring: Sunscreen, water bottle, lunch, hat, sailing gloves (optional), clothes that can get wet, and personal flotation device (life jacket).
Team Dynamics: Sailors will rotate between skipper and crew positions to develop skills in both roles. This program emphasizes communication, trust, and collaborative problem-solving on the water.
