About Optimist Camps

Our Optimist programs are for sailors ages 8-12. Beginner camps pair up two new sailors together, learning boating safety, sailing fundamentals, boat rigging, knot tying and sailing techniques. Once graduating from Opti Beginner, young sailors move up to single handed sailing, teaching advanced sailing skills, race tactics and boat handling techniques.

Session Times: Our 6 hour daily camps start at 9:00 and 11:00 AM Monday through Friday.

What to Bring: Sunscreen, water bottle, lunch, hat, clothes that can get wet, and personal flotation device (life jacket).
